Meet Our Instructor & Founder
Yogi Chandrakant
International Yoga Guru | Naturopathic Doctor and Doctor of Yoga | Spiritual Educator and Motivational Speaker
Yogi Chandrakant was born on the evening of December 29, 1987, in the village of Haripur Kalan in Uttarakhand, India. Situated in the Dehradun District near the confluence of the seven sacred rivers of the Ganga, and in close proximity to the revered Saptrishi Ashram in Haridwar—a site where Rishis (Babas) have meditated since the Vedic times—his birthplace is steeped in spiritual significance.
Born into a Brahmin family, Yogi Chandrakant was raised in a deeply spiritual environment. At the age of eight, he was initiated into the traditions of Vedic Mantra and Tantra Yoga by his father, Guru Sitaraghav Sharan Ji Maharaj. Under his father’s guidance, he was enrolled in Shri Sanatan Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya in Saharanpur, where he began formal studies in Sanskrit, Yoga, and Vedic Astrology.
Deeply inspired by his lineage, Yogi Chandrakant developed a strong calling to preserve the ancient traditions of Sanskrit, Astrology, and the esoteric sciences of Tantra and Mantra—fields that are increasingly marginalized in modern times.
In 1999, at the age of 14, he was admitted to the prestigious Banaras Sanskrit University to pursue advanced studies in Sanskrit Yoga, Vyākaraṇa (Sanskrit grammar), and Vedic Astrology. After over five years of intensive academic and spiritual training, he graduated in 2003. Motivated by his father’s vision, he then spent four years traveling across India, visiting numerous yoga schools and deepening his practical understanding and spiritual practice.
From 2006 to mid-2007, Yogi Chandrakant lived in seclusion in the Mani Kut Mountains, immersing himself in advanced Tantric disciplines. During this period, he practiced Kundalini Yogic Kriyas, Hatha Yogic Bandhas, and other Tantric Sādhanās in austere conditions alongside Nāgas and Sādhus. This phase of rigorous sadhana led to profound inner transformation.
In September 2007, he commenced further training under Dr Yogi Vijay Rayal, receiving initiation into the healing aspects of Tantra and learning energy work and spiritual therapeutic techniques that would later become central to his healing methodology.

Between 2008 and 2014, Yogi Chandrakant taught intensive yoga courses and provided Ayurveda and Naturopathy treatments to international visitors at Sri Sant Sewa Ashram in Laxman Jhula, Rishikesh, overlooking the sacred Ganges River. His teachings gained widespread recognition and were featured in the YouTube documentary Prayers at the Ganges – Yogi Chandrakant.
Following this, he returned to Rishikesh to work with his Guru-ji, Dr. Yogi Vijay Rayal, founder of the Maun Van Research Center of Yoga, Ayurveda, and Tantra. Under his guidance, Yogi undertook a three-month silent meditation retreat, which further deepened his spiritual insight and presence. After the retreat, he was sent to teach yoga at a local orphanage, where he developed profound and lasting relationships with the children through his compassionate and nurturing approach.
In January 2011, Yogi traveled to Goa to meet Dr. Suresh Thakur, Dean of the Academy for Naturopathy & Yoga. Recognizing his dedication, Dr. Thakur encouraged him to pursue a Doctorate in Naturopathy and a Doctorate in Yoga at the Gorakhpur School of Natural Therapeutics (Arogya Mandir), in Gorakhpur.
Following his doctoral studies, Yogi Chandrakant co-founded an international yoga school with his friend Dr. Hari Krishan. Together, they began offering Yoga Teacher Training programs across the world. Yogi has since traveled extensively, sharing his teachings with both Eastern and Western audiences. His teachings continue to evolve, informed by his lived yogic discipline, lifelong study, and deep inner practice.
Yogi Chandrakant advocates for a balanced, meditative, and self-healing approach to life. He believes the ultimate goal of life is self-realization—knowing oneself, healing oneself, and living in happiness and health. At the heart of his philosophy is the pursuit of harmony across all dimensions of life.
